DescriptionSprite credit Demcreepers, I think
The mason is a sword/heavy armor class: its ability item is the cube: When the cube (left) is used, a wall (right) appears where the cursor points. Walls are impenetrable to enemies and block enemy attacks but can be damaged by said attacks. Players can walk through walls with no resistance and can also shoot through walls: the range of a shot is 'extended' by the size of the wall (1 tile), meaning the distance the shot travels through the wall does not count toward its range restriction. The mason is unable to use its cube in the Nexus, Guild Hall, Vault, or Pet Yard for obvious reasons. Cubes are unable to be placed nearer than 3 tiles from a boss, 2 tiles from a non-boss god, and 1 tile from a normal monster.
The mason is unlocked by reaching level 20 with the huntress and the paladin. Stats
The mason thus has higher MP and Wisdom but lower vitality than standard. Edit: a little higher def than standard.
The CubesSpecial notes on untiered cubes:
Ancient Stone Cube: Extremely powerful and efficient HP/MP but only covers a small area. It is also the only cube that stops penetrating projectiles. Dropped by Stone Guardian. Hypercube of Elemental Creation: A low-MP cost cube that can be used as a very quick but fragile barrier (potentially to allow for enough time to place more cubes in its place). Dropped by Cube God. Crystal Cube: The crystal cube increases the damage through the cube. (It also slightly boosts range). The cube is very fragile and inefficient, however. Dropped by Crystal Prisoner. Class AnalysisThe mason is a highly strategic class, especially in cooperative gameplay. Cubes can be used to hide and block damage, or, with enough skill and MP pots, even trap an enemy and destroy it. Lower-tier cubes can be used in conjunction with higher-tiered cubes for the right balance between strength and spread. The hypercube of elemental creation can act as a quick barrier in emergencies, and the crystal cube is a versatile damage amplifier, especially potent of they are stacked. In fact, it would be a good strategy to layer crystal cubes and normal cubes (where the normal cubes protect the crystal cubes). Below are some formations:
That's it for now.
